Potential Side Effects & Complications

Wrinkle Relaxers: Possible complications may include headache, temporary muscle weakness, eyelid or eyebrow drooping, unwanted changes in facial expression, or effects on nearby muscles. Dermal Fillers: Possible complications may include lumps, nodules, asymmetry, infection, delayed inflammatory reactions, or other changes in the treated area. An appropriate medical evaluation, including a Good Faith Exam (GFE), must be completed before injectable treatments when required under Texas law and SVIT Aesthetics' clinical protocols. Treatment eligibility, medical screening, and any need for additional evaluation depend on the selected procedure, product, and individual circumstances. Required evaluations must be completed before treatment.

Client Intake & Medical History

First-time clients are requested to complete SVIT Aesthetics' New Client Intake Form before their initial appointment. Accurate and complete disclosure of medical history, medications, allergies, prior injectable treatments, previous complications, and other relevant information is essential for appropriate treatment screening.

Clients should promptly inform SVIT Aesthetics of any relevant changes before subsequent treatments.

Informed Consent & Treatment Documentation

Applicable treatment-specific consent forms and required documentation must be completed before treatment. Consent forms may address the nature of the procedure, potential risks, contraindications, alternatives, and expected responses.

By voluntarily signing the applicable consent form, the client acknowledges the information provided, confirms their decision to proceed with the selected treatment, and voluntarily authorizes SVIT Aesthetics and its authorized providers to perform the agreed-upon procedure. Clients have the right to ask questions and decline or withdraw consent before treatment.

Additional documentation or updated consent may be required depending on the product, treatment area, and individual circumstances.

Pre- & Post-Treatment Care

Clients are expected to follow applicable pre- and post-treatment instructions, including recommendations concerning activities, pressure or manipulation of treated areas, skincare, and other relevant precautions. Instructions may be provided verbally and/or in writing depending on the procedure.

Failure to follow recommended precautions may increase the likelihood of adverse reactions or affect treatment outcomes.

Clients should promptly report unexpected or concerning symptoms. Sudden vision changes, severe or increasing pain, unusual skin discoloration following filler injections, or difficulty breathing or swallowing require immediate medical attention.

Results & Treatment Expectations

Individual results vary depending on the product, dosage, injection technique, anatomy, metabolism, treatment area, and other factors. Results may develop gradually, and additional treatments or maintenance may be appropriate.

Wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers are temporary aesthetic treatments, although some filler effects or complications may persist longer than expected. No specific degree of improvement, symmetry, duration of results, or absence of complications is guaranteed.
